The first month of school has really gone by quickly. I have been working with the children learning about how well they can read, and what math skills they know. I have introduced them to Science and Social Studies that was a part of their reading program in Kindergarten.

I am very excited that our class had seventeen days with perfect attendance in September. I have added two more specialists times to our schedule. We go to the Library every Thursday and the Gifted Resource Teacher comes in and does a class lesson every Wednesday afternoon.

The PALS specialist and the Reading Teacher will start taking small groups of students to help them with reading.

We are looking forward to our first field trip on October 23rd, be looking for the information to come home soon.
